Thermowell Accessories

We are in the process of cleaning up our new Model C stove. I was hoping that the manual I just received would have information about the thermowell, but no such luck. Right now I have the three pots that fit together in the thermowell. Do they go directly into the thermowell or into a larger pot? What other accessories are out there so I'll know what to look for.
Are there storage containers that go with the Model C. We have one small container, but aren't sure where it goes.

The following T-well accessories are available:

- 7 qt. single kettle, #60
- 3 qt. twin kettles, #90
- 2 qt. Triple kettle, #100

There are two double boiler-type inserts for the single kettle. One is a small insert, #801, that attaches to three small clips on the single kettle lid, and measures about 5.5 " in diameter and is almost as deep as the single kettle. A second insert available is shallow, has two bale handles, and sits in the top of the single kettle. It will only work in certain single kettles that have grooves on the upper pot lip to hold the insert.

In addition to the pots, there is a super cool insert called a thermobaker that allows you to bake in the T-well.

A cool oven accessory is the Lisk Roaster. Chambers dealers used to sell them, although they were also available through other outlets. They're great, and can be bought cheaply on ebay.

You're off to a good start by ordering the manual, but in order to have a better feel for how a Chambers stove actually cooks, you really need to get yourself an Idle Hour Cookbook. It has info on all the accessories I mentioned, as well as cooking time charts and great instructions on how to actually use that T-well and oven to "Cook With The Gas Off." You really need it.

Hi Stephanie, Take a look at page 60 of the last Idle Hour Cookbook. There is a discription of the Chambers kettles for the Thermowell. The #60 double boiler, #801 Insert, #90 Twin Utensil and the #100 Triple Utensils. The Thermobaker is on page 73. There is also a shallow pan that fits in the #60 7 Quart pot and a perforated pan that also fits in the top of the #60, but it may not be actually a Chambers pan. Robbiequest has a Wear Ever web site discribing lots of these type pots and I think there is something in her Chambers convention site. Regards, Sam

Oh sorry, I'm not sure what you mean by smaller storage containers. Maybe you could post a photo?

The Small container you mentioned. Is approximately 2 to 3 inches wide and 6 - 8 Long? If it is
it would be the grease pan that goes at the
back bottom of the broiler pan to catch grease
when you raise the griddle.

I just purchased the single triple pot on eBay - Mirro, i believe. I am now wondering if it will fit with my other two.
